Your applications live in one system. Your customers live in another.
Applications nobody can see
Status lives in the application platform, so sales and marketing find out a deal closed after the customer tells them.
Lifecycle stages fighting each other
Dozens of workflows update the same stage, and nobody trusts where a contact really is.
Records matched on email
Systems match customers on email or phone, so one customer becomes three records, or two customers become one.
No line from lead to closed
Reporting stops at the application, so marketing can't show which campaigns turn into funded or closed deals.
Partners you can't credit
Lending partners, brokers, installers and referral sources send deals, but nobody can see which ones send the good ones.
Worry about sensitive data
Nobody's sure what customer financial data belongs in the CRM, so the useful data stays out too.
Three things a standard HubSpot setup won't handle.
Protected the way HubSpot intends
HubSpot supports sensitive data on Sales Hub Enterprise. We set up sensitive properties with restricted access, so financial details are protected in the CRM, and keep out anything that doesn't need to be there.
Several systems, no marketplace app
Application, credit, servicing and partner systems rarely have a HubSpot connector. We build custom integrations over modern APIs and older SOAP and XML alike, on one shared ID.
Referral partners and lending partners
Partners get their own records, not a note on a company. Loan marketplaces track the referral partners who send deals and the lenders who fund them; software companies track their referral partners.
Which systems run your business?
Pick the systems you use. See how each one connects to HubSpot, how records stay matched, and the reports it unlocks.
Pick your first system. You'll get:
- Where each system’s data lands in HubSpot
- How records stay matched
- The reports it unlocks
One unique ID, owned by HubSpot.
The fix for duplicate customers isn't better matching on email. It's a shared ID.
- DiscoveryAPI access confirmed and every field documented in each system, with sandbox access before anything touches production.
- ID strategyHubSpot's contact and deal IDs are written back into each system, and records match on a unique identifier like an application number or VIN, never on email, SSN or phone.
- Data modelCustomers as contacts, applications as deals, and referral partners and lending partners as custom objects, with sensitive properties restricted and each system's fields clearly prefixed and owned.
- Sync and clean upEach system connected and tested, and the workflows that fought over lifecycle stages consolidated into rules everyone agrees on.
Financial data we've brought together.
We describe clients by what they do, never by name.
40+ conflicting workflows untangled
Three lending systems (origination, credit decisioning and servicing) feeding one HubSpot data model, with the lifecycle chaos cleaned up.
One ID across three systems
HubSpot contact and deal IDs written back into the origination and credit systems, loans matched on VIN in servicing, and prefixed properties so every field has one owner.
Pivot has played a critical role in untangling an initial messy HubSpot setup that had over 40 workflows updating the lifecycle stage. Jane and Christa have been an invaluable resource to our organization surrounding all things HubSpot.
Fix the foundation, then connect the rest.

Who do you work with in fintech?
Fintech-adjacent companies: loan marketplaces and brokers that facilitate loans for their lending partners, companies that arrange financing for projects and equipment, and financial software companies, like platforms that help businesses claim tax credits. We don't work with lenders that fund loans themselves or with companies that process payments.
Can sensitive financial data live in HubSpot?
Yes, on Sales Hub Enterprise, which supports sensitive data. We set up sensitive properties with restricted access for the details your team needs, and keep full credit files and anything else that doesn't need to be in the CRM in the systems built for it. The integrations themselves follow our security rules: encryption, secret credentials, audit logs and least-privilege access.
What kinds of systems have you connected?
Application and origination platforms, credit decisioning and servicing systems, partner portals and financial software, over modern APIs and older SOAP and XML interfaces alike.
How do you stop duplicate customers?
With a shared ID. HubSpot's IDs are written back into each system, so records match on the ID rather than on email or phone.
Which HubSpot do we need?
Usually Sales Hub Enterprise, for sensitive data and custom objects like referral partners and lending partners. A short call with Jane narrows it down, and the Blueprint confirms it.
How long does it take?
It depends on the systems and their APIs. Your Blueprint gives you the timeline and one fixed price.
